Date: 9/23/12 1:43 PM Hi all. I have been getting Manequim off of ebay for a couple of months but am interested in getting a subscription. I found this on Amazon but with no picture and was wondering if it is the same magazine. It is around 72 dollars. Anyone get a subscription of Manequim from Amazon?

Date: 9/23/12 2:37 PM It appears it is since the description is an international publication from Brazil. That is a better price than Burda. ------ http://sweetnotions.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 9/23/12 2:45 PM I think it is the same magazine. It would be way cheaper than the $19.00 a copy I am paying on ebay. Also it is the same publisher. I think I will give it a try. Hopefully I am not wasting $80.00 -- Edited on 9/23/12 2:48 PM -- |

Date: 9/23/12 2:50 PM OK, I subscribed to Manequim on Amazon, it was $79.22 instead of $72.00. I guess I looked at the price incorrectly. I will give everyone an update when it arrives in 6 - 8 weeks. |

Date: 9/23/12 5:05 PM That is the correct publisher (Abril), though I don't know the company that's fulfiling the orders (Magazine Express). It's a fantastic price - I subscribe directly through Abril and I just paid US$95 for a year's subscription, but mine includes shipping to the UK, so I'd assume a US subscription through Abril is a bit less.
The only thing I'd be wary about is how long it'd take for the issues to arrive, if they're being shipped from Abril to the Magazine Express people, and then out to individuals, it may take a while to get to you...
Edit: oh dear, lots of complaints about Magazine Express and missing issues, etc. :(

Date: 9/23/12 6:31 PM Well crud, I already placed my order. I wonder if I should chance it or try to get my money back. I didn't even think to look up Magazine Express. Thanks for pointing that out Squirrellypoo (ps. I love your blog and follow you on twitter to catch a peek at Nishi. You even got me interested in running.) |

All international subscriptions are the same, wonderful $95 US/yr.
I've find emailing them a bit frustrating since it seems like several different people respond to the customer service email and I have had the same conversations over and over again.
However, once they get the picture, they are very helpful (and polite).------ Fashion Maté, where I blog about what I (eventually) sew : http://fashionmate.blogspot.com
