He decided it would be a good idea to go play in the fire place Grrrrr.
On top of having a very dirty not so white kitten, I now have little black kitten foot prints all over my very light tan carpet. |

Date: 9/23/12 5:56 PM If only that was all my cat had done.
6 months ago mine chewed on a fish hook. Two months ago she ate ribbon. Her sister has never gotten into anything.
A rough extimate; $2000+ in vet bills.
Oh and she meow's all the time.
Her redeeming traite is she is a cuddle bug, she love people. ------ Ada

Date: 9/23/12 5:57 PM You did take pictures, didn't you? I hope so. Did you give the kitty a bath? They do not like that but sometimes it is just necessary to do it. Beware of claws! ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors.

Learn2,
I teach adult ed. When we do the lesson on Sequence Words (first, then, next, after that, finally...), I give them the assignment to write the steps on How to Give a Cat a Bath, using the sequence words.
I always have to correct them because the last one should always be,
"Finally, call an ambulance."

Date: 9/23/12 6:42 PM I'd like to read the How to Give a Cat a Bath with those sequence words. Can you post it. I am hoping the original poster will show us pictures of the "no so white" kitten. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors.

It reminds me of two classic children's books--Dodie Smith's The Hundred and One Dalmatians, in which the escaping Dalmatians fool Cruella deVil by rolling in soot to hide their beautiful spotted coats; and the brilliant picture book Harry the Dirty Dog by Gene Zion and Margaret Bloy Graham, about a white dog with black spots who runs away from home because he hates baths, and gets into so many adventures in the city that he returns as a black dog with white spots--and his family doesn't recognize him!
Enjoy these moments; she won't be a kitten for long, either! ------ ~Gem in the prairie |

I usually get writings like this:
First, run the water until it's warm
Then, assemble the soap and a towel.
After that, place the cat in the tub.
Next, wet the cat.
After that, lather the cat with the soap.
Next, rinse the cat and dry with the towel.
...and I always tell them to add at the end --
Finally, call an ambulance, because you've probably been shredded by the furious cat...
