When you click on the Message Board for New to PatternReview?, there will be a whole list of topics that have been started. There is a pinned topic near the top of the list that does say "New to Pattern Review" or something similar. Meanwhile, it is perfectly fine to begin a new topic and say "hi, I am here". Also, feel free to just jump in and comment on any discussion that is of interest to you whether you add to the discussion or have a question.
