Has anyone browsed through this issue. I'm trying to find out what pattern this is because I love it and must have it! :)

I already have several tailor jacket patterns but I think this is has all the qualities I'm looking for. Any help? I would try to contact Ms. Lagett but I don't want to come off as a stalker.

Definitely contact her - she even has a phone number on the first page of her site. I had great service when I ordered from her. Please do let us know what pattern it is when you find out.

I have taken many classes from Pamela. She is a terrific person and will respond to your email. I am sure she will answer your qurestions regarding this jacket.

She is also one of the best instructors - she has immense sewing and fitting knowledge.

Hi. Maybe this page might help:

I usually find at least a few interesting things in Sew Stylish, but every now and then, they veer off into a very strange place. I think it is somewhere around 1959 or 1960.

That's not the jacket I'm referring to. I will contact Pam, then post a picture for everyone.

I have heard that she's a great teacher. I should schedule a class with her on my next visit to Philly.

You probably want the jacket in the article made up in a sort of pink and white houndstooth. It is a lovely style with the princess seam into the armscye and what appears to be a vertical dart and a pocket that cuts through the dart and the front seam.

Pam was very sweet and sent a response very quickly. She says it's McCall's 6172. She uses this pattern to teach her tailoring classes.
Here's a picture of the jacket from the mag.
Pam's jacket

Is it me, or is Pam's jacket hem curved more?

Anyway, I'm feeling a little silly because I had already pinned this pattern onto my wish list last week.

Very cute! I can see why it caught your eye.

But why wouldn't a magazine simply print that information alongside the photograph (or in a Resources section at the end)? This would seem to be an issue that would come up a lot, and a lot easier than having to answer umpteen emails...

Looks like Pam's jacket has a curved hem and the pattern does not.
