Gap at back of neck on scarf

Finally, I am working on a muslin of the Fringe T. Am able to make necessary adjustments, but cannot get rid of the gap at the back of the neck. I am round shouldered and have added a dart to the scarf, which helps a little, but not much. I am having exactly the same problem that is shown on post from Claire in Montreal, around 8/12. Other than that, this is a great free pattern and will definitely be a TNT. Thank you

Check the Reviews of this (in the left box) if they help. Mine added more instructions as they weren't very detailed. It's a nice dressier T-shape and can be made without the scarf too.

I went back over all the reviews, including mine, and found that though some did not mention the back neck at all, those who did weren't completely happy with it. I thought maybe a rounded shoulder adjustment but I see you did that already.

I've worn mine a few times and the neck is not uncomfortable to wear but I really don't like the look. I'll be watching to see if anyone else posts an idea.

Is it the garment or the scarf that annoys you? Next time, lower the neckline before the scarf goes on...or
often you can add a little clear elastic to cinch up extra in the
back neckline. That scarf can also be doubled (in a thin knit), folded over at the back neck, tack it, then let it flare out at the front for the ties. Flutter-sleeve sweater patterns and RTW like this have the back neck folded over and stitched down to the shoulders, then fall open around to the fronts for draping.

Try pinning the scarf down in the back an inch lower and see if it works for the roundness. Since it doesn't really show there, you could just stitch from shoulder to shoulder narrower, trim, then ease into the existing SA at the front instead of ripping it out.

I like this pattern for the V-neck without scarf with a bias finish too.
Not a big fan of scarf-tie necks, I just leave the tails down, but I found if you make the ends longer, you can also flip them up and tack and it will look like a cowl.
Look on the Fabric.com Blog and they will show pix of how they fashioned the ends into rosettes too.

I was successful with the neckline after lowering the neckline for the high round neck and also folding the tie in half and sewing it before I added it to the top. Also, my muslin was made in exactly that, and it didn't drape as well as a knit, quess I will always use the type of fabric that the finished product will be done in. Looks great now and have made a template of it to use as a TNT.

Thank you for all help.
