I made a new quilt - Ive never made triangles b-4

Date: 10/2/12 10:07 PM Most of the pieces in this quilt are quilting cottons given to me by my Aunt -- Scraps to her .. gems to me!! I dont know for sure if its done or not -- I might do a strip or two of solids -- IDK yet. I might even put a jean back on it -- IDK yet. -- Edited on 10/2/12 10:11 PM -- ------ Drag queen quilter!

Date: 10/2/12 10:36 PM Ive been doing so much school stuff - I learn a little diff than most people and I need to "read" my school books on tape... and, I listen best when Im doing 7-10 other things at the same time... So, even with loads of school stuff .. I still get in quilting time. I might make a chevron quilt next -- I used the same block to make this quilt as jenny teaches in this lesson -- It was sorta very simple... 10 inch square cuts -sewn together then cut into an "X" = 4 half square triangles ... Simple. easy. I think I would really like jean on the back --- but this might not be the quilt to get it -- jeans + batting = too heavy and hot... just jeans = seeing blue through the white front. And, yes -- Im putting the pieces under the Grand quilter at 1600 stitches per min .. at about 1.8 stitch length. Today, I worked on my own election - and, tried to learn more about the EU. --- Yuck. I cant wait till Im dont with this damn BA. In MAY! ------ Drag queen quilter!

I used Jenny's half square triangle method for my pinwheel quilt, very fast and easy! I LOVE Jenny's tutorials! Denim on the back would be so heavy and dark on such a bright sunny quilt. (I can't even stand wearing denim though, because it's so stiff and heavy, so I am a bit biased against it.) I think a border would look awesome! I love borders because it's like a picture frame around a quilt. ------ Cathryn

The denim may also continue to bleed when the quilt is washed. That would not look so good on a light colored quilt top.
