It looks like they are sticking with their craftapalooza strategy for the fall pattern line like they did with the spring/summer patterns. I'm so sad not to see any new garment styles worth buying, especially active wear, lingerie or even sleepwear. I am stunned that the folks running the show at BMV-KwikSew think that this is the best future for the Kwik Sew pattern line!

Really? What a shame. Sigh.

I heartily agree! This has never been what Kwiksew is about - more Mccalls thing, I would have thought (I know the brandowners would dispute this, but I associate McCall with matching mother-daughter outfits and frilly cutesy crafts). Kwiksew has been one of the few readily available lines for activewear, lingerie and knits and has enjoyed a great rep . I hope this brand doesn't get trashed!

I haven't checked in some time, but when my local Joanns started getting Kwiksew patterns, I was initially intrigued. To my chagrin, I discovered that the selection was incomplete. What they did have seemed weighted towards these sorts of "McCall-like" styles.

Kirsten Martinsson seems to have been their muse as far as clothing designs go. After her death, it seems they have pretty much flicked it in.

So sad. This was such a great brand.

Wow, there's really nothing novel in the (very few) garment patterns at all, is there? Plus everything is REALLY shapeless. It's really saying something when the closest fitting item of clothing is the pattern for uniform scrubs.

One woman. One sewing machine. One giant stack of fabric. What could possibly go wrong?

Thank goodness I have been able to collect some of the classic men's and boys online and only trace them. This line seems to be really losing its identity. As for the new ones I love the play foods set at least and when the temps drop here next week the fleece socks may look better to me. Lol! It's a shame for the brand to lose its uniqueness-maybe a way to get rid of competition. I think lots of people trace these and retain the classic editions so don't need to rebuy the patterns.
