A bit ago I lucked into what may well be a Goretex laminate or a knockoff, and I need a weatherproof jacket/coat.... I'd love pattern suggestions please!

I made the Minoru Jacket by Sewaholic awhile back. It is a great pattern-very feminine, but offers coverage for weather. Lots of people have done reviews-there is an immense amount of inspiration for this type of coat out there. Minoru pattern

I would agree the Sewaholic Minoru is a great idea.

The other jacket I have been eyeing up is the Amy Butler 'Rainy Days' jacket. It has a few length options depending on what you were after too.

I made SIMPLICITY 4099 as a raincoat. It has a nice military thang going on. I made the fronts wider so they button over instead of meeting in the center front.

If you're looking for a traditional trench patterns, Silhouettes "Barbara Trench" is very cute. I haven't sewn it yet but have some laminated Amy Butler fabric just waiting....

Just a word of warning on the Minoru - I haven't tried it but several of the Down Under crew have reported having problems with the sleeves twisting. I assume they've reviewed it and provided details so I'd read them carefully.
