Date: 10/8/12 9:43 PM So I put the FW on CL. I know, I'm nuts. But she needs to be in a home where someone will actually sew on her! Already I've gotten 4 scam responses. I know because they don't put what I requested (and my request was in all caps) in the subject line.
And, when you click reply to their email, which only mentions *the item*, it's a different email than the one showing up initially in the yahoo inbox!

Just wanting to vent, cause I don't want to ship this machine! She's too precious to risk it, and it's such a hassle! I'll be patient. Someone local will want her!

Date: 10/9/12 12:52 PM I was going to recommend the Sew it's for sale list too - dunno how local machine sales do on there but it's a well-trafficked list and I'm sure that folks are more legit than the craigslist boneheads. ------ I've moved! Date: 10/9/12 4:32 PM Yeah I really hate that I have two and soon three lovely machines going up against the rusted out machines with no attachments, whose owners insist they are *firm* on a price not much lower than mine!
I just really, really hate the idea of shipping any of these. It's such a huge deal, and the cost is something no one wants to pay, unless they collect and understand I'm going to charge them for the bubble wrap, and tons of it - and boxes sturdy enough to withstand all the abuse.
When the guy shipped my Viking - wow! It took me 30 minutes to just get in there, much less un pack it all. It was the most marvelous shipping ever! I really don't want to have to repeat that. Ugggh. But, I know it would have to be done. I can collect air bags and styrofoam.
The 201 goes in her cabinet, so I'm really not shipping her. At. All. ------ Bernina 730E, 530, and 350PE

Date: 10/9/12 4:45 PM Can you post your machines with your ASG group? They would be local and appreciate the machines. The previous suggestion of a quilt shop posting was a good idea also.... ------ 2009-113.25 yds
