I'd like to make a flag to hang on the outside of my house using standard quilting cotton. Is there any type of treatment I can put on cotton fabric so that it won't fade in the sun? Thanks.

Yes, there are uv fabric protector sprays. Try Amazon, or boating supply places. Also, Joann used to carry this one: UV fabric shield near the home dec fabrics, but I haven't looked for it lately.
