Date: 10/9/12 9:38 AM Thank you for enabling me! I needed to replace a pair that grew legs and walked away during a class. |

1 member likes this. Date: 10/9/12 1:07 PM Thank you so much. I was getting ready to treat myself to Kai scissors and was hoping someone would post if there was a sale.
Now I have to return to the thread that talks about which size is most useful. ------ Barb

Date: 10/9/12 3:22 PM BTW, If you're like me and didn't get the email, the promo code is "sale".
I tried to order a couple of rotary blades for my 45MM cutter and they don't seem to have any. Do you think this is temporary?
Surely they normally sell them.
I tried to cut some flannel just now and had a lot of difficulty even though I replaced my (Olfa) blade. First time that's happened; I wonder if it's the flannel that is the problem. Seems the blade is plenty sharp and it is brand new.

Date: 10/9/12 8:02 PM O, you enabler, you!!!
I have been wanting some for quite awhile, so this was just the push I needed
I ordered the 3 piece set of 8", 5.5" and 4" shears. I also ordered a 28mm rotary cutter & blades as I already have a Fiskars 45mm which I like just fine. I'm sure I'll end up loving the Kai one though and use it all the time!

Date: 10/9/12 8:05 PM Unless your hands are quite large, I'd get the 9" Professionals. I've had those for about 6 years now, and they're perfect. Just enough larger than my Gingher 8" to make them more efficient, and just enough lighter and smoother to make them a pleasure to use.
I liked them so much that I bought a larger pair. They weren't more efficient because they were uncomfortable. I contacted the owner and he kindly let me send them back.
Kai Professionals are the best I've ever used. Also note that ASG members always get 20% off, there are often 20% sales advertised in the sewing magazines, and shipping is always free.
