I bought my new Husqvarna Viking Designer Topaz 20 from the dealer in Joann's two days ago. I'm all set up to take the free classes, but I've been doing some light sewing/quilting in the meantime. While I was doing some free motion quilting my machine jammed pretty bad. It was very hard to get the string/fabric out of the jam by the bobbin. My feed dogs were down for the free motion stitching, and now they will not go up. I've taken the machine apart and I can not figure it out. I didn't want to call Joann's and take it in if it was an easy fix. Please help!

Did you try to start sewing again with the feed down? Usually the dogs come back up once you start to sew even though they do not come up by moving the feed dog lever.

Betakin is right, You don't even need to start sewing, if that sounds too scary. Turn the handwheel towards you a bit and the feed dogs should pop up.

Most machines of all brands are like this now....it can really mess with your mind and for some reason the manuals I have read and seen do NOT mention this one really important thing!!! :)
