Looking for a basic dress pattern for a Toddler

I just know you can modify it as you wish (higher neck in the back, center back zipper, skirt a bit fuller). One good thing about sewing for children, it can be a stash buster. I've found Burda sizing to run a little big on my toddlers, just FYI. Is the "original" dress from J Crew? just guessing from the photo style.

It was a frothy pink success though, in Anna Maria Horner voile...true to size, but runs long for a wee one... McCalls 6015 ------ Yards sewn 2012: 34 Yards sewn 2013: 13.5 (goal 70!)

Date: 10/17/12 11:35 AM Check out the kids section in any Burda magazine you have and you are bound to find something similar to trace. Even if you only find a bodice shape you like, the lower part is only a gathered rectangle. ------ susi

It isn't as simple as the one you have, but I adore it so much I will be making at least 3 more! I dressed it up using suiting fabric and adding lining and netting, but I bet it is just as cute in cotton!
