If only I could win the lottery, and be taller, slimmer & younger, and had somewhere to wear them. There are some beautiful clothes.

60's dior dress & capelet

palazzo leg jumpsuit

1930's gown

NAYY, would just like a closer look, and to have a body that suits them

that's a neat website. There's a Burda pattern for this cape:

ok, this is blowing me away. I'm either going to have to buy it or make one myself:

palazzo leg jumpsuit

The jumpsuit is
Vogue 2113, a genuine Pucci design. It can be found on ebay or etsy, though as you can see, it can be pricey unless you get lucky.

Wow, if the rule of 20* applied I might go for it. I prefer the colour of the one for sale, the others don't look nearly as sophisitcated

I love that no matter what design you are looking at there is always someoneon here that knows where you can get a pattern for it.

*used when having photos taken-I must end up looking 20years younger, 20cm taller & 20 kilos lighter, hmm, maybe 20yrs times 2 for that jumpsuit.

Back in the day, those swirling, bright Pucci prints--on yards and yards of heavy silk jersey, if you please--were the epitome of sophistication.

But I could never help wondering how you managed all that yardage in the loo...

The Dior dress-cum-capelet isn't only vintage. Last year, Anthropology had a skirt in the same style, pencil silhouette with a high, high waist. A textured woven with a bit of Lycra in it, if I remember correctly. (To be worn with a tight-fitting top or chiffon blouse.) I saved the picture (somewhere) and found textured knit fabric at EOS to make my own knock-off. Now that I see the Dior photo, I am re-inspired, especially since I have enough fabric to also make the capelet.

Plottie,
Here is a foto of the Lutterloh dress I plan to make for the LBD contest.
For the evening look I was thinking of a sheer top.
This Dior dress is a perfect inspiration.
I am making the look on the far right.:

Triangles, another PR member, told me about your link to this dress!
