I have been practicing in hopes of free motion quilting my quilts. Well here is a few pics of my twin size Charlie Brown Christmas quilt. I used an assortment of Charlie Brown fabrics from Quilting Treasures. I saw a lap quilt made from this fabric at a quilt shop in Annapolis, MD Cottonseed Glory. This was made using the pattern Yellow Brick Road and measures 66" X 93". I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to FMQ this size quilt on my Elna Excellence. I am now hooked on FMQ!

It's adorable. How cute can you get? You did a great job on it.

That's so cute! I LOVE how you did FMQ on the borders. My favorite part.

Very nice. Love the theme and the border. Love looking at quilts. I have not worked up to fmq yet. I am still a stitch in the ditch girl

I have the YBR pattern. Never thought about using it, and now I will. I did not care for it as it was in blues and yellows. This beginning quilter thought you HAD to use those colors when I first started. Duh.

I like the FMQ you did. What machine did you piece and quilt this on?

Actually the Yellow Brick Road pattern is really easy to follow and in no time at all you have it pieced. This is the first time I used it but will definitely make another quilt with it. I did all my peicing and FMQ on the Elna Excellence 740 and since it has a built in dual feed it is perfect for piecing. It also has an 11 inch harp which made it much easier to FMQ a quilt this size.

My daughter suggested doing the borders like this and it did turn out cute. Thanks for looking.

You really should try your hand at some FMQ; I am amazed at how much faster it is than stitch in the ditch and much more fun!
