My Janome 11000SE has great lighting - seven LED lights around the needle and under the harp. However my other machines have rotten lights . I am sick of working around standing lights, table lights, desk lights, etc. Where can I get some lighting that will stick on the machine and do the trick without interfering with the fabric movement? This can't be something that bugs only me. How did you all solve this problem.

Thanks,
Lizz

Cindy Needham recommends Ecolux Lighting.

I wrote a review on The Bendable Bright Light which may be helpful to you. The review includes photos in which you can see how I use it. I have 2 of the lights and quickly put them on whichever machines I'm using.

I bought the Ecolux Lighting setup for my Brother NX-450Q, which has poor lighting. It cost me $75 and I now have 6 LED lights, on a strip, attached to the ceiling of the harp.

Is it perfect lighting? Is it Bernina lighting? No, in both cases. But, I would say I "endorse" the product, because I can now sew at night - which was not really possible before. I am considering purchasing another strip for my 2 vintage Singers.

In addition, I am squashing a queen-sized quilt through the harp right now to quilt it - and the light is holding up very securely. (The glues/adhesives available today are incredible.)

I found the Ecolux Lighting kits Quilters Rule. I created an account and put in an offer 15% less than their listed price. My offer was accepted, which is how I ended up paying about $75 after shipping was added.

you might want to consider a headlamp - I use one and like it as it lights up whatever you are looking at as i can never seem to get enough light where I want it otherwise especially when sewing dark fabric. http://www.rei.com/product/808899/princeton-tec-apex-pro-led-headlamp-2010

I have a magnet backed stick on light and I like it but like the headlamp better.

I just was on Discount Embroidery Supply to order needles & noticed they have the light that bends & attaches to your sm for $14.99. They also have clip on light $19.99. It is not a large lightening solution but maybe help some. I like my small light that attaches with magnets I got from April 1930s.

They have large eye needles at Discount Embroidery Supply I like those. Organ large eye needles helps with some vision problems too for me easier to get needle threader in to large eye needles.
