New Vogue patterns are up Not much inspires me

And, thank God, the models are in more or less normal poses so you can actually look at the clothing instead of being distracted! I think this peplum jacket is freakin' fantastic (although I'm not crazy about the pleats going round to the front): ...And this! OH!! Be still my heart... although where will normal people wear it? ...For more practical wear, I like this sweater knit hoodie, too! And this jacket is classy and interesting without being bizarre (which, I can admit, my first two choices could be described that way!): (If the image isn't coming up, it's 8845, the pink twist jacket at the bottom of the first page.) ------ ~Gem in the prairie

Love the Kay Unger 1328, and I'd make it in a heartbeat if I had someplace to wear it this winter. And 8852 - finally a Vogue evening gown that looks like RTW. And I, too, am in love with the rhumba skirt 8858, as impractical as it is. My favorite is is the Guy Larouche jacket 1335. I have some wool melton in stash that would work up nicely, or - I could really see this in a blanket pattern like the re-issued Pendleton Toboggon Coat. Much to like, also a couple of blouses.

I'm so pleased that the models don't look broken anymore, plus there are some nice fabrics in the photos. I am intrigued by the Pamela Roland pod jacket (V1332) and I like the straight jacket (V1332) (as sewingsilly described it) as well. Not sure which one I will get. I also like the new Claire Shaeffer (V8845), which I will probably buy, even if it is just to read it. For once, the Koos pattern does not inspire me. I'm usually smitten with his patterns, but this coat (V1331) looks too much like a caterpillar, even for me.

My uncle, a super guy, wears that style quite nicely. If I make it he will wear it. I hear the double faced wool calling..... Tickled to see V8858 from Marcy Tilton, something a bit different from the Oregon woods. V8854. Why is it that I still love a hoodie? Studying the pattern to see where the front can be weighted to offset the weight of the hood. My mom had the ultimate hoodie; fortuny pleated creamy crepe dress. Hooded with a v neck that discreetly crossed before plunging to the waist and toned down with little demure kimono sleeve caps. She let me wear it once for a special occasion. That dress could have made a log look glamorous! ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct.
