Necktie fabric? Looking for sources -- or maybe just better search terms?

I'm looking to make silk neckties as Christmas gifts for the men on my list. (Yeah, the tie's a bit cliché, but these'll be HOMEMADE and FANCY ...) Anyway, I've found some good fabric options on Thunderlilly/Belraf, but beyond that, I can't find much. Does anyone know of online vendors who sell good fabric for ties? And do you have any suggestions as to specific material to hunt for? Silk Faille? Twill?
