Date: 10/31/12 1:02 AM After some fairly exhaustive Google efforts, I'm turning to the fabulous PR crew for help.
I'm looking to make silk neckties as Christmas gifts for the men on my list. (Yeah, the tie's a bit cliché, but these'll be HOMEMADE and FANCY ...)
Anyway, I've found some good fabric options on Thunderlilly/Belraf, but beyond that, I can't find much. Does anyone know of online vendors who sell good fabric for ties? And do you have any suggestions as to specific material to hunt for? Silk Faille? Twill?
Any help would be great -- thanks! ------ Humor, DIY escapades, pop culture, kitsch and creative miscellany from a bipolar bureaucrat with a sewing machine, a bottle of prozac, and an occasionally loose grip on reality -- http://sewciopathic.com ... plus, stuff for sale(!) at sewciopathic.etsy.com. |

They have a Halloween discount code right now; see their home page for details. ------ Twitter: @SewKnitStash |

Date: 10/31/12 3:22 PM Farmhouse is WONDERFUL! I'd browsed there before, but they'd fallen off my radar. This is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks :)!
I also found tie interfacing at B Black & Sons and placed an order with them, but I'll give Silhouette a look too! |
