Date: 10/31/12 5:39 PM Love both the jacket, the faux-peplum knit top, and the freebie cardi. The jacket really is TDF.
What's funny is that I've been stalking the StyleArc web site all day and must have hit "refresh" about 3 minutes before the sent out the newsletter/updated the site. ------ --Michelle

Date: 10/31/12 6:02 PM I like the Marni jacket too... but I'm just not sure about a peplum on my very pear shaped body. :-( I think I might look like a sack of potatoes tied in the middle. Will leave it to y'all, I think. |

Date: 10/31/12 7:11 PM I love the frill cardi, but I think that the rest aren't too suitable for people without waistlines, either...time to check out my wish list! ------ 2009-113.25 yds

Date: 10/31/12 7:16 PM Sizing is very true, and once you have your correct size, the fit in the upper chest/neck/should area is amazingly fabulous!
If you have sizing doubts, just email Chloe at Style Arc and she will help you pick best sizing.
Every pattern is single size, and exquisitely hand-drawn, including seam allowances, and the pieces fit together perfectly.
As for instructions...they're more an order of construction, rather than detailed step by steps, but the website has tutorials, and of course everyone has PR at their beck and call for help.
Most of the garments are very straight forward to make; if you can sew a knit top...front and back sewn together at the shoulders, sleeves sewn in flat, sew up the side seams, hemming...then you can sew a knit jacket. And any SA knit top.
Plus several of us Style Arc fanatics give step by step instructions we used when reviewing our SA garments.
The postage hurts, but buying 2 patterns along with the monthly free pattern, makes it all about equal to buying 3 of any other independent pattern company patterns. And they really are superb patterns. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life!
