What to do with my sweater knits

One is a ribbed wool blend knit in camel. I'm afraid it will be too boring in a plain t-neck--too bulky at the neck too. Any ideas? I saw this sweater with zippers but am not sold on it either but at least it has SOME style. Help! I have to sew something before all my fabric rots! Also, any tips on sewing such a fabric is appreciated. I do have Connie Long's book which I will be reviewing before I sew. one idea

The neckline is also low enough that you have to wear something under it, so you can put a brighter color near your face, if that's a concern.

Says it's suitable for sweater knits. The view with the higher neckline is similar to your idea. I've never tried sweater knits but just bought some to try making the hoodie. Bought the pattern during the sale they just had. I'lll make mine the same length all around as I don't care for the longer in back style. ------ Thank you Lord for my Mother who taught me the joy of sewing.
