Hello, I'm a noob to sewing from scratch. I usually just alter things so reading/ understanding a pattern is sometimes "French" to me.

Can some please tell me if this pattern ( simplicity 2508) is a shoulder princess seam or an armsycle seam? I know it seems dumb but I don't know how to make adjustments without this knowledge. It looks to me like a princess armsyce seam but I really don't know.

Winter is coming and I would really like to have this coat done by then.

Any thoughts would help. Thank you for your time.

The line drawings show princess seaming going into the raglan sleeve seam. You can make adjustments to the princess seams and then you will need to adjust the raglan seams as well.
It's a cute pattern.

It's an armscye seam, but it's got raglan sleeves. So the adjustment will be different than a "normal" armscye. OTOH, I found it super-easy on my summer formal dress, because there was a seam running down the outside of the sleeve, and I could just adjust that.

On a totally unrelated note: "winter is coming" made me cackle.

Ah thank you for your help. I'm such an unusual body shape that I have to major adjustments and it easier for to start with a sloper. I just didn't know what kind of sloper to start with. Thank you.
