Any Ideas?

Please excuse me if this is not the right match for the question, but....
Last Friday (or Saturday) I saw one of the early morning news women wearing a beautifully detailed dress of royal blue. The top had vertical pleats/tucks on one side only with longer capped sleeves.
It was simple, tasteful, and chic.
Did anyone else notice this and do you have any ideas of a pattern for something like this?
Thanks so much,
Cathy

Do you recall which morning show that was? I know the members in the US can access rebroadcasts of the shows online (whereas the non-US usually cannot, boooh!)

That's been a pretty common design element for a few years. Have you looked for it on Vogue's site?

Could it be like this one?

I have seen what I think you are talking about on a few newscasters. I do recall a lovely blue one. The bodice appears not to have any darts and the fabric bulk is instead pleated into the neckline at one side. I have also seen it sometimes evenly pleated across the entire neckline.
It is an attractive look.

Thanks, Sandy. It was deceptively charming.
