Modal Knit Has anyone sewn on it?

The knits have wonderful recovery and will be perfect for some tops I want to make. I can't find much information on Modal other than it is considered a rayon made from beechwood fibers. It was originally marketed as 'artificial silk' and is soft, smooth and breathes well. Supposedly it's shrink resistant, but requires ironing after washing. If anyone has sewn on a Modal knit can you give me any hints that you learned along the way. At this point I'm going to treat it like a cotton/lycra. It's really soft & cozy, and it sewed up as nicely as other fine knits. However, a big complaint I have about modal is that it seems to pill and fade much more than other rayon knits--much more! They're very comfy to wear, but the pilling is so annoying that I'm not going to use modals anymore. :( I'm going to stick to high quality rayon knits for sewing tops. I especially like the rayon-lycra knits from Emma One Sock and Sawyer Brook. ------ A balanced diet is a cupcake in each hand.

I read through all the posts and have a much better idea on what to expect with the Modal and how to treat it.
