What will take this off

Well I decided I didn't want them and although the stickers came off ok some of them left behind a sticky residue. And then I made the mistake of trying to get it off with a conventional cleaner and used a blue piece of terry cloth I had in my sewing room and on two areas now I have blue covered sticky patches from the lint. The cleaner didn't remove it at all. Any clue to what I can get to take this off. Janomey is not happy about this. I guess I just shouldn't have tried to decorate him. ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com

It's slow, but it has always worked for me. Clear packing tape works even faster if you have any. Use a green scrubby pad after applying WD40 and letting sit a while. Honeybee Beginner Member since 11/12/05 Posts: 304	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 11/7/12 11:59 AM I use tape/shipping tape to get off other sticky residue that's left behind and it works---but if the sticky residue is now covered in blue lint, the tape trick might not work as well.... I've also used baking soda made into a paste with water to get sticky residue off and isn't suppose to scratch I don't think. HTH!

Date: 11/7/12 2:17 PM WD 40 is overkill for almost anything - it reeks of volatile fumes and I don't think I would ever get it anywhere near my sewing room. Goo Gone - absolutely Goo Gone - it's citrus oil, and may stain fabric - as in fabric book covers, but for anything else, we even use it here in the library to remove sticky residue on paperbacks with shiny covers, and I use it at home all the time for anything sticky.
