Love them? hate them? belong to them?

Since 2004 on and off I've belonged to a few embroidery clubs sometimes more then once. The ones I belong were S.I.C.K, Artistic Designs, and DK Embroidery. I have to say they are a pretty good deal, especially for the beginner embroider, instant collection of designs. Download everything for one price. Usually they have monthly and yearly memberships. I think DK has the best designs, then Sick. Artistic has a lot of kiddie stuff which I just don't use. Sick had added about 30 sets since I last joined trying to decide if it's worth the money to rejoin for a month or so.

I just looked in over at DK and was surprised that they don't have designs in the .EXP (Bernina) format.
I realize that one can convert the .ART designs but it's an unnecessary additional step and I wonder if if you lose any detail in the conversion process. (For those of us who don't have the software to do it.)

We I know back in the day there wasn't any software to convert Bernina designs except Bernina software which was very very expensive. Probably an added expense this small business didn't want.

Anyone have a Babylock Ellageo Plus?
I made the purchased yesterday, was it the right purchase or should I have looked a little harder for a better machine?

I have the Ellageo Plus. It's a great machine. Mine came with a lot of feet and accessories. The embroidery is beautiful. No problems whatsoever and it sews great also. I did not want to spend what the Ellisimo costs but wanted a machine with a large embroidery field, editing capabilities and a color screen. I don't think there is a 'Better' machine, just machines with more features. My machine is not fincky at all.
I can use any threads or needle brands with no problems. And I love the presser foot lift button. There is actually a lot of functionality built into a nice mid-price machine. HTH

I have heard you always want the ART format even for the 830. The exp is a commercial format and you lose a lot of info that you need in the V6 software.
