crotch curve adjustment

I made a tin foil crotch curve and fit it snugly to me. There is a HUGE difference between my foil and the pattern crotch curve. How much should I adjust? The first pic shows the foil curve of me layed over the pattern. There is a very faint pencil line on the back crotch curve where it goes under the hip. This is the tracing from the blue yoga pants in the second photo. The second pic shows a pair of knit yoga pants with similar stretch the pattern/fabric I plan to use. They are comfortable for me, but I feel they have to contort a bit when I wear them (which they can do because they are knit). -- Edited on 11/8/12 5:43 AM -- -- Edited on 11/8/12 5:44 AM --

I tried a tin foil curve once and when I placed it on my pattern, I was lost. Didn't know if I was just suppose to start cutting out the excess, add somewhere else, or opt for a different pattern. I'm going to be following this closely.

Finally I can understand how to adjust the crotch area. I have measured and altered front and back and never got the results or comfort. Now I feel ready to tackle pants again.
