I have Designer Plus Version 5. Is there a way to pull into the design window stitches from your sewing mahcine?
In the folder "My Designs" there is a folder labeled " reference. Inside the folder there are a number of files that have the machine stitches shown. It looks as if they can be stitched out as a reference but not selected and moved to the design window?

I was on the Bernina website and was looking at some of the projects. There was one for the 830's. Looks as if these machines can pull in sewing machine stitches to use in in their embroidery designs.

You can use the designs in the reference file. I had to insert the design then ungroup the design. Selected the stitches I didn't want and deleted them.

If there an easier way to do this?

As far as I know, this is not possible. Yes, I think the 830E will allow you to do that, and probably one of the reasons it is priced the way it is. The "reference" files in DP are the closest thing to mimicking the built-in dec stitches, that I know of. Of course, you can always digitize, or bring in clip art design and auto-digitize.
