New Vogue web exclusive pattern

A few reasons-- instant gratification. I goes straight from designer to end-customer. It also costs nothing to produce a PDF and add a link to a website, otherwise they'd have to pay for the pattern printing and logistics of getting it to the resellers.

They are printed envelope patterns just like regular Vogue patterns. My guess is that they want to encourage direct online orders. Most people who order a pattern online, will probably order 2 or 3 patterns at once to make the most of shipping charges. It may also help them promote other related products like the Vogue Patterns magazine subscriptions. ------ Liz
