 1 member likes this. I love this dress. I have two pics below to try and give a good view of the skirt.
Does anyone know of a similar dress pattern? The bodice is pretty basic, but the skirt looks like it has some sort of insert that makes it flounce. I looked for skirts that had hems like that with the thought I could frankenpattern a bodice onto it. However, I did not come across any. Does anyone know of one? I could almost swear there is a Vogue skirt pattern like it but I don't see it on their website.

Date: 11/14/12 3:22 PM This OOP Vogue pattern (V2958) has similar curved insert for the fitted skirt. And if they have your size it's only 1.99 right now direct from Vogue!

Date: 11/15/12 12:57 PM I will have to look it up tonight, but I made a Burda skirt (from the magazine) with that shape. If you're a Burda subscriber and willing to Frankenpattern, you could combine that with a bodice. |

Date: 11/16/12 3:23 AM I think it would look fine with sleeves. Are you planning to use lace? If so, you could have the sleeves unlined, depending on the look you're going for. |

I think they are unlined on the photo, along with the area around the neckline of the bodice.
The rest of the dress, from above the bust to the hemline are lined in a matching color. (IMO, the classy way to do this sort of look)------

It appears the bodice is only lined to cover the bust and abdomen. The sides are not lined and I suspect the bodice rear is not lined either. Also, the skirt is lined only to the seam above the knees.
