I've made a tutu dress for a 4 yr. old little girl. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to attach straps, or just to use ribbon and tie around neck. The body of tutu is the crochet head band. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to use for straps and how to attach? I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Really want to keep it simple...
Thanks!

I just did a google search for tutu dress and viewed images.... It looks like most of the pics I saw had a ribbon halter or double shoulder straps with ribbon. For my dd, I like adjustable straps but find that sometimes ribbons don't stay tied for active little girls... :). I have only made one pillowcase dress because of this. I'm sure that someone else has some creative ideas...

I wish I had a better pic to show how I do the straps, but basically it's one long piece of ribbon that I weave through the holes in the top of the headband to go over the shoulders. You can do it so the bow is in front or back.

You can also use a length of the tulle to weave in the same manner.

Stretchy lingerie-type elastic would be best for active girls.
Around-the-neck is not as comfortable as at the shoulders.
You can crisscross the back at 2 points or use a center loop for a
one-piece strap to go thru. I have used those extra
colored bra straps (sold separately in the jr. sections) for replacements.
Add small squares to the band first for strength where the straps
attach.
