Will we be working off a particular pattern? Does this class cover fitting as well or just construction? I just would find it hard to do if fitting is not covered.

Ivette,
This class is primarily regarding construction, and will not be a fit class.
We will be working with a particular style of pattern, and I have a list of potential pattern candidates. Look for something along the lines of these patterns:
Simplicity 5204, New Look 6407 or 6952, Butterick 4023 (view d, eliminate the tucks), McCalls 3541, Vogue 2634 or 7903, Kwik Sew 2952 or 2849

We'll be making some construction and style changes as we go....to build a BETTER blouse!

Hi I was wondering if you would be dealing with a hidden button placket at all.......Iam very interested in this class as I always get confused with cuff plackets.... will there be a classic tailored shirt placket???.....thanks Chris

Yes, we'll do a hidden placket....and discuss how to add one to your pattern.
We'll also do a classic "peaked" cuff placket, as well as a bound placket.
Lots of things to cover here:)

Shannon,
I would love to take your class, but will be out of state (& away from computer) the 1st thru around the 21st of June. Is there some way I can still take the class?

Hi Barbara!
Yes, you can still take the class. The downloads remain available for quite awhile, and you can get the chat transcripts. The only downside I can see is that you won't be "live" at the chats. But you can always contact me for help if you need it.

Hi Shannon! Could you please tell me if this class has the same type of materials, i.e., lessons with photos, as the patternmaking class? If so, could you please tell me the average meg size of the lessons or the size of the smallest one? I have dialup and it takes a very long time for me to download, even with Windows XP and one of the two ''latest and greatest'' well known PCs on the market. Yes, I live in ''dinosaur country'' but it's all that's available to me.

All of my classes are similar in size of individual downloads. I try to keep things at 10 pages or less per day.

I understand you to mean (being as I'm taking the pattern making class, which is a wonderful class by the way...) that the lessons are 1-2 megs each and that the format is the same?
