Subject: I bought a Bernina Stitch Regulator Date: 11/15/12 10:42 PM I bought a bsr for my Bernina 630 and it arrived yesterday. After being taught how to use it I played with it and I am very happy I bought it.
Now I need to cut some fabric and get started on the new quilt. So many things have taken up my time lately. I am still not done with the binding on my 2nd quilt. My 3rd quilt will be FMQ wiht the new bsr foot.

I forgot to post I bought it from Artsewer here on PR.
I think this foot and I will bond nicely and I will enjoy sewing with it. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors.

Date: 11/17/12 12:01 PM My husband and I have a concern. My fingers! He is worried I am going to sew right through my fingers when using the stitch regulator.

Date: 11/17/12 12:33 PM It's no different than using the other feet to FMQ. Spread your fingers apart and put your hands maybe 4-5 inches away from the needle. I suggest using the Machingers gloves as well. Take a look at your Craftsy class to see how to put your hands.
There are other tools out there besides the quilt halo if you want to keep your hands away from the needle like the Bat Scooters (scroll down to see them). I've also seen something similar to these but can't remember what they are called. ------ ~Diana~

Date: 11/17/12 12:46 PM I'll add the bat scooter and the gloves to my list of things to buy. Dh wants a list and I am making him one. He says the quilting items are much less expensive for him to buy than a trip to the emergency room for me! ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors.
