Thank you lgrande for posting this! A new video about this tool!

These toys are also what is making it hard for me to decide between PCP and 750! I love seeing what this tool does and I really think I'd use it with quilting and appliqué. Looks so neat!

Thanks for posting this! I have the cutwork needles for my Pfaff Panzy, and still haven't tried it yet.

It never occurred to me to use the bits that are cut out, duhhh! What a great idea!

oooo! LynnRowe, you mean Pfaff has something similar?!?! I need to look it up! Now that I think about it, Sonoma33, I think did say there was a cutwork kit for Pfaff....but I thought it was different than Bernina's cutwork kit.

Pfaff has a cutwork needles set, yep, for reverse appliqué etc. But it never occurred to me to keep the cut out bits and use them! In the Pfaff video, I even watched them as they removed the inner cut bits, and it still never occurred to me that the inner bits could be used!

Bernina has one needle that moves to different angles; Pfaff has 4 different needles that each make different cuts.

I really need to play with mine!

Thank you for describing how the two cutwork work differently from each other, but to do the same thing. That would mean you could use Bernina's tool also for revers applique, not just to cut out shapes---since the same is true with Pfaff's tool. so exciting!

Subject: Berninas new Cutwork Video Date: 11/17/12 3:37 PM

The inner bits are the only reason I've considered cutwork (though I'm not sure it will work on my machine- a 430). The shop demoed it as a way to cut applique pieces for quilting, 10-15 at a time.

Actual cutwork embroidery seems too rare of a use for the price.
