I have decided to buy this machine as a (possibly) Christmas present to myself. I have all my pennies squared away and I am now looking to find the best possible bang for my buck. I have heard that $5999 is the going rate but I am hoping to come in under that. A 'classroom' or 'showroom' model is just fine with me. Does anyone know where I can get a good price?

I think every machine company has something great to offer. Vintage or cutting edge - everyone has its place!

$5900 is the best I have heard around Pittsburgh, PA.

Thanks! I don't mind traveling if the incentive is enough I have to do that anyways since there isn't a good dealer near me.

Dawnabbey, I don't know of anyone selling at a discount but Brother just announced their "Black Friday" sale. For this model they are offering a nice financing option. You can find out more from their main website.

I am trying to talk Hubby into this model too :)

Margaux Rose: I changed my mind about the machine LOL! I wound up getting the Pfaff Creative Performance for $4500 all in (taxes, shipping and large embroidery unit). The $1500 price difference wasn't the only thing, there were several key features of the Pfaff that I liked and the harp space was enough for me. I just, somehow felt more comfortable with the Pfaff than the Brother which is odd because I own 2 other Brother machines. At any rate, my dealer also sells Brother and $5900 is pretty much the bottom rate we will see. I hope this helps! Thanks for your feedback!

I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock!

Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you.
