Babylock Ellageo Question

When I embroider thick items (fluffy towels, fleece, etc) my foot comes down real close to the fabric. With thick items I need to use stablizers on top; but, they get caught by the foot and torn. Which is very frusterating. I have sprayed 505 spray on top and smashed down the top to get more space between the foot and the item. No luck. The foot gets caught and tears the stablizer to bits. My question is: Is there a way to tighten or lift the foot for more clearance between the foot and the item? I have tried to embroidery with the foot in the upper position and not lowering it. But, That does not work either. How have you all dealt with this issue? Or how did you correct? I get my machine serviced 2 times a year, due to I do use it alot. I brought this up to my dealer to have them deal with hit last time it was put in; but, they did not deal with or answer my question. Can I do this at home? I am trying to remember where the adjustment was located. Have you taken a look at the on-screen settings and adustments? There may be a setting that allows you to set the presser foot height on-screen. If you have the manual, try looking up presser foot height to see if there is an adjustment identified. I wish I could remember more... good luck!

I don't have any issues with this, Have you tried using more of the topper and machine basting? There are free basting frames online. I think mine were done by Reen at Embroidery Garden over at the Sew Forum free design section. I think someone else posted some over there but can't remember. Even if you are sticking the solvy down the foot can catch the edges and pull it into a wrinkle. You might also clean the bottom of the foot in case there is adhesive residue that is giving some drag. Problems can be so aggravating. I hope you find out what is going on. If it has just been serviced I would take a hooped up piece of terry and the solvy and have them see the result that you are getting.
