Yes! it is quite an interesting trip and what takes place is changeable from year to year, based on availability and many other variables. It is 8 days of planned activities, including museums with our own private guide, shopping for fabrics and notions, and a workshop day - we actually learned some basic techniques used by the House of Madame Gres, who made wonderful flowing gowns, including at least one for Jackie Kennedy.

This evening I will begin a day-by-day run through for anyone who might be interested.

In addition to budget busting stash accumulation, I made a friend for life in the woman I was assigned as a roommate. Susan could not have chosen a more perfect pairing.

And, Susan Khalje is quite gracious and fun, as is her assistant Cindy.

Having just lost your husband I am so glad you are embracing life again alone. Bravo!
What a wonderful way to combine travel with something we love.

Thank you so very much for sharing - I had hoped to attend a Susan Khalje workshop last year and it just didn't work out. This is the next best thing, maybe even better since you took the trip instead of the workshop. I'm looking forward to reading about your adventure.

What a delight to have found a new friend; wish you many happy years of friendship and shared adventures. Did you declare your priceless new treasure with customs?
