Date: 11/19/12 10:35 PM I think it depends on the fabric and style. For instance 1 piece skirt vs, skirt with center front seam. Silk vs corduroy. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 11/19/12 10:39 PM I've made a couple of bias skirts, and I did cut the lining on the bias. |

Date: 11/20/12 4:44 PM It is a two piece aline longish skirt. The fabric is a mystry fabric but it did come out of the washing machine and dryer looking OK. ------ Ada

Date: 11/20/12 5:59 PM Frankly, I'd make the lining on the bias, too. If you're interested in drape, why not go all the way with both layers? |

Date: 11/25/12 6:47 AM If it's a slim fit in the hips, you may need the bias cut - if cut on grain without adding a couple of inches, it may be too tight. |
