She posted "her" colors, but shop your stash if you want to join in -- there is already a flicker group with fabric choices folks are making -- While I am a fairly new quilter, EASY sounds fun to me.
Hope to see some folks there

Subject: Bonnie Hunt Mystery Quilt Date: 11/20/12 8:07 PM Oh that is a wonderful idea. I'd love to do something with others virtually. And I love her colors- that is until she got to the grey. I don't know about that. But I'll be picking from my stash. If I add borders it will be big enough for my bed.
I hope some others can join us.

Subject: Bonnie Hunt Mystery Quilt Date: 11/20/12 9:14 PM Ive never done one with her b-4.
I dont really have much of those colors in my recycled fabric collection -- not tons of people buy grey chartreuse or purple sheets!
I would -- but I also dont buy new sheets..
So, I might have to buy some things to do it -- but Im going to shop the sale at joannes friday and see if I can fill up on some cheap-o fabric. (looks like saterday is the better day to shop for fabric @ J's)

I have *soooooooo* many things going on right now.... but I'm thinking of taking a shot at this.
I just moved into a new house this week... and I have so much nesting to do alongside some other business tasks... omg... I don't know where to start these days.
BUT... before seeing this thread, I had already had her Ireland in June trip on my radar... Ireland has been one place I've wanted to visit... and it seems this would be a good opportunity. So maybe getting involved in this mystery quilt would be a good way for me to get a little more excited about the Ireland deal.

On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Subject: Bonnie Hunt Mystery Quilt Date: 11/21/12 1:00 PM The beauty of her projects is they are color friendly. Just find some fabric combinations you like and follow the yardages. You have fantastic color sense, I am sure whatever you come up with will be wonderful. There are many folk who do her mystery quilts that do not follow her colors. Just think how unique it will make yours! ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

what a good idea - ! I had not thought to pick colors I do have in her yardage and start where I am! What a great idea!
I love chartreuse and grey and turquoise together - purple is a good addition but i would prefer a mauve/pink (50's pink) and a forest green -- WAIT -- Ive done that b-4!
I know these combinations are not totally like hers - but they are in the same family -- I really like these colors. They are some of my faves!
