What would be your prefered finish for the neckline and armhole of a stretch silk charmeuse tank? I'm hesitant between a narrow bias facing or a visible binding but I'm not sure if one would sit better than the other. Is there another option I haven't thought of?

Definitely my vote is for a narrow bias edge! I finish all my silk blouses this way.

You'll want to make sure you stabilise the opening edges before you apply the binding if you're using stretch silk, though.

Thanks! Excellent tutorial! What are the benefits of the double layer? Does it provide more stability?

Shrug. Less fiddly to press, easier to measure, and you get a nice clean edge on the inside.

Even with a bias tape maker, folding both sides in is just a PITA. Folding a slippery bias strip in half is way easier to me.

I'm with squirrellypoo - a double fold bias is way easier than standard bias if your fabric is fine and slippery. You end up with a neater finish and much less frustration!

Thank you both. I did this and it worked out really well. I used bias interfacing to stabilize the neckline and armscye.
