I absolutely love them! And, yes, they have a secure hold.

I have them too and LOVE them. I have only used them to hold a quilt and binding together, or other layers of stuff. Not a bit of an issue. Can't vouch for denim though...

Haven't tried denim but thay are the most sturdy little things. The bottom is flat so no distortion to the fabric like other quilt binding clips. Love the red bottom easier to find on cream carpet, top is clear for sewing ease. I used mine to restitch a knit 1/4 binding onto a knit cardigan.

I think you will find they are well worth the investment. They are strong, well made, and that sounds like a good price. I especially like using them when serging, sewing on leather, vinyl, and laminates.

I got some just a few weeks ago after getting tired of using binder clips so much. I sew bags with vinyl bottoms and can't use pins, so I need some sort of clip. I love mine. They're easier to work with than binder clips and hold things just as well.

I've been looking at these clips for a little while myself. How many boxes of clips do you have? I know this is a personal preference, but if you had your druthers, would you purchase more than one 50-count box? If you started out with one box, how soon did you wish you had more?
Thanks!

I have 20 now...bought 2 sets of 10. 50 would probably do you for a while.
But, they are VERY handy for so many things. Once you have them on your sewing table you'll find many, many ways to use them.
