Date: 11/28/12 9:46 AM Hey....
I bought my last round of these magnetic snaps here:
Magnetic Snaps at stuff4sewing.com
At my local stores, the name brand (Clover or Dritz, IIRC) are about $3.00 - 4.00 each.
The quality of the one in the link has been great. But I'm always game to find these cheaper. Anybody got a good source?
I'm making quite a few purses for samples for a pattern I intend to sell... And I'm still looking for deals on the hardware.
I just started a blog... And I just started to put pics up about these bags...
Acorn Purse #2
The bag that is the profile pic on that page has one of these magnets under the flower closure. They work well... Just wish I could bring the costs down on them.
Sure would appreciate any help on sources for these. -- Edited on 11/28/12 9:46 AM -- ------ nightowlsally.com
On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Date: 11/28/12 9:58 AM I bought these at Nancy's Notions on sale after seeing them on www.studiokatdesigns.com for $5 each.
Sew in magnetic snaps
You should look into a wholesale account if you will be needing these for retail sale.

I like the clamp in kind better, and I'm hoping to find cheaper. ------ nightowlsally.com

Date: 11/29/12 1:40 AM There are lots of sellers on Etsy selling snaps and other bag-making supplies in bulk. Here are a few I favorited a while ago when I thought I'd try to make and sell bags for profit:
Being Bags
Purse Supplies R Us
Tantalizing Stitches
I'm not affiliated with any of them, nor have I ever purchased from any of them so I can't say whether any of them are good or not. They're just a few places I found a while ago and their prices look like they're still pretty good. ------ Olivia, my Pfurple Pfaff Creative Performance
