Bought a pair of awesome trousers from a resale shop=Can someone help me duplicate these for me?
Can someone tell me are there patterns that fit this great? Is there something special about their patterns?

I bought a pair of ladies wool/silk blend trousers from a upscale consignment shop- the brand was Carlisle. I had no idea that they were considered a very nice brand...just tried them on and wow! They fit! They look so good on me! The fabric feels and wears great! So here's my question. Are there patterns that fit like this or is there something special about their patterns. Is it the quality of the material, some workmanship trade secret? I feel silly asking all these questions but I have loved these pants and the way they wear so much that I want more like this! I went on the web looking for some more 'preowned' to buy and found out they are only sold in private boutiques and at trunk shows. I'd love to duplicate these. Any knowledge suggestions would be so appreciated!

Hey...

I don't normally bop in here... but I was cruising through the main list of topics and saw your post. I just saw something earlier today that might help you....

Do you know about Craftsy?

Check out this link: Jeanius Class at Craftsy.com

And don't freak out about that $50 class price... go look at how much their gift cards cost... and have someone else buy it for you ... I'm sure you can save some money.

And... even at $50... if this gets you into copying those pants you're in love with... it's probably a great bargain!

Hope this helps.

If you don't want them right now, Craftsy does run a lot of sales- I bought the class for $15 last month, and did the Sandra Betzina pants fitting class this month.

I can't figure it out.... But RIGHT NOW if you go to this link:

$19.99 Gift of Craftsy.com Class

The class can be bought for $19.99.

I couldn't find that price earlier today!!! A 3pack of gift classes (thru that link) is $55 right now... It was $75 earlier today when I looked!

I signed up for the Craftsy 19.98 Jeanius class. It would work for any type of pant clone. I just did the first video. I can't get back to it until after Jan but can't beat that price snd it never expires.

It is unanimous I just checked Craftsy and the Jean-ius class is still on sale for $19.99. I took the class and it is fantastic -- and not just for jeans. The techniques can be used for any pant. In fact, although I have not tried it, I think the techniques Kenneth King teaches can be used for any garment.

RUN to craftsy. It is so hard to get a great fitting pant that it will be worth the money

Regarding Craftsy's Jeanius class, I give it a thumbs up and it will work for any type of pants.

Craftsy pricing must be magical. The Jean-ius class is $49.99 not 2 hours after being reported as $19.99 above.

Check out David Coffin's video. He suggests watching his shirt copying video first:
