I posted a review yesterday afternoon with a gallery photo. I linked to the photo which is stored on my computer. On my computer it is upright but when it is linked to the review it is sideways. I've tried multiple ways to correct but no luck so far. I'm hoping someone can help!

Thanks! Martha Review

I had this same problem when I started posting reviews. Are you using Picasa or Flickr for your online photo storage?

If so, you will find in your "My Pictures" a folder intitled "Picasa" then "Picasa imports". Your photo will be located in that folder (again, same photo that is on it's own in My Pictures) and if you upload from there it will be right side up.

There are other methods, but here's one way I do it in Windows:

Find the directory from where you uploaded the picture. Open MS Paint, then open that picture file. You can rotate the file in Paint, save it, and exit Paint. When you upload it again, it should be correct.

Thanks to all that had suggestions. I use an apple computer so finally had to save it as a gif file and it was correct. Don't know why I couldn't get it right as a jpeg! Martha

I had this issue before too. This might be helpful in the future: when I take a pic, if I turn my camera to take a 'tall' shot, when I transfer the pic to my computer the pic is rotated. I then rotate the pic to the correct position (i.e. 90 degrees left or right). Now it is ready to upload to my pic hosting site. HTH
