What is the best fitting book, according to you, on the market? I am looking for one. Not sure which one to choose.

I am looking for one that can help me make wearable clothes. So things fit my body and no look like a sack or such. I am an advanced beginner.

here is not one best, I 'm afraid. Perhaps you think i am terrible, I have several and i had useful tips out of all of them

Yenni - I like Fit for Real People, also. But your subject line made me giggle - my brain immediately thought "I can't get a book to fit me no matter what I try!"

My go-to fitting book is Fitting and Pattern Alteration: A Multi-Method Approach.

The first edition is less expensive, but I like the second edition much better. The diagrams are easier to read and there is a section on fitting the crotch curve in pants.

One my favorite fitting books is, The Perfect Fit (ISBN No.1-58923-227-5). I like this one, because it shows you (with photos not diagrams) what the fit issue is (i.e. round back, gaping armhole,sloping shoulders, etc) in a muslin and then it shows you (with photos) how to alter the paper pattern to fix the fit issue. It also is readily available at internet book sites (used and new) and is inexpensive (in comparison to some other fit books) however. it doesn't show pants fitting in a lot of detail, but I would still recommend this book because it is a good primer on the basic fit issues.

If you know exactly what is wrong, use FFRP.
If you are still struggling to identify the fitting issues you have and what might be needed, use Sarah Veblen's new fitting book. Veblen is the only one who guides you through analyzing and addressing fitting in a systematic way.

Been looking at reviews on Amazon of some of the books and I think I am going to start out with "Fit For Real People"... Thinking I might get another one also..but not sure which one yet.. Probably "The Complete Photo Guide to Perfect Fitting".

I actually found a place close by that teaches a class in fitting based on the Fit For Real people book. I am thinking I might try taking that one next year...
