I was minding my own business checking my emails, when I was startled by AD on Sewitsforsale! The one owner great condition Bernina 830 for $400 [complete with case, table, feet, and manual] caught my eye immediately and I rushed to email the seller.

A dozen emails later, monthly payments arranged, and I will be the proud owner of this beauty on March 3rd.

Well missy, you sure do know how to mind your own business! I have one quite like it that my parents bought me in 1974. The difference is the cases are more burgundy color and dulled with age. You're gonna love it. Have lots of fun!

Congratulations! That is one awesome machine! The 830 was my first Bernina. When I had to sell it because of finances, I saved until I could buy another one a year later. Whoohoo!

My first Bernina was an 830. She changed my mind about sewing. I sold her to a good friend, still miss her. And..that's a good price.

I forgot to say on my 1st post that my 830 in 1974 cost about $450. My mom was a school teacher, so that was her discounted price. I'll keep that machine forever.

My mom bought that machine back in the 1970's and it's still her only sewing machine. It is a workhorse, you'll not regret it!
