I would like to get some more bobbins for my Viking Designer 1. The only store that carries them locally would have to special order them and I have no idea how much they would cost. I wouldn't mind ordering them online but when I searched for them I was finding a lot of listings for cheap aftermarket products that bound up and/or generally didn't work with the machine.
Where can I find either genuine Husqvarna Viking or quality aftermarket bobbins? Hints? Advice?
Thanks,

Date: 12/4/12 1:01 PM I recently read an odd post where the owner of one of the Viking models was having an issue with pre wound bobbins. The machine's low bobbin sensor was stopping when the bobbins were still half full.
If the original bobbins have a green hue and your model has a low bobbin sensor, stick with the originals.
This merchant may have just what you are looking for, or at least has more information.

Date: 12/5/12 5:00 AM Sewing Parts Direct carries Viking bobbins - the green, rainbow colored, and clear.
Google the site - you will see a listing of manufacturers on left.
Click Viking parts
Search box: type in Viking bobbins.
Will find them there. If you're not sure it's the right bobbin for your model machine click on More Info and it will give you machine compatibility
I have ordered from them before and have found them to be reliable. I have a Viking Topaz 30 and always appreciate being able to confirm that I'm ordering the right part/accessory for my machine |
