Date: 12/4/12 6:12 PM I am looking to upgrade my 25-year-old Husqvarna to a new computerized machine. I sew garments and want to make sure my new machine will work well on knits as well as other fabrics.
Any suggestions on which makes and models might fit the bill? |

Date: 12/4/12 6:14 PM Pfaff with IDT. The IDT (built-in dual feed) makes sewing 1/4" knit seams super easy. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock!
Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you. |

Date: 12/4/12 6:31 PM I do a lot of knit sewing with my Viking 1+ and my Viking 936 serger. You need a SM that you can adjust the presser foot pressure on. Sometimes I use a walking foot, but not always. A walking foot will do the same thing that IDT does, but the WF is much noisier. ------ Judy |
