Not to enable or anything but threads sets are 30% off. Don't hurry through the end of the year.

Yeah I'm $50 poorer lol. I got the salt and pepper set, the beach set and the confections set. Goal to get a few more before the end of the year. This is a great deal on thread.

Oh, thanks, ever so much. I just spent money on thread there and have 5 to show for it. Now I will have to go check my Basket and see what I have in it from last week. I am thinking of buying just spools of thread and not sets so far. However, that could change...

I also bought 2 spools of Superior Masterpiece locally yesterday. Those I got to wind onto the bobbins with the verticle spool holder. The Connecting Threads ones use the horizontal spool holder.

I tell you, DH is looking at me funny with these new threads.

Trouble is I love just LOOKING at threads in their boxes....love the ones I have and don't use enough to validate buying more - sigh. One nice thing about quilting is it uses LOTS of thread, though not as much as I once thought.

Yah, I say that about quilting, too. I use fabric, honest, I do. I use lots of fabric, really. And I don't buy that much. Lots of people have more fabric than I do.

I think it is that quilting just doesn't use much fabric. That's my story and I am sticking to it because the alternative is just too horrific to contemplate.

I told DS that I want him to marry someone who sews. He has refused to promise this which I think is pretty ungrateful of him considering the pregnancy and labor issues. He is unmoved by my entreaties and keeps insisting on marrying someone he loves whether or not there is sewing involved! I ask you.

lol@ Frank. I tried for years to get my daughter interested. She did play with my CXL which had the open designs. but I guess she didn't get the gene.

Mine, either. But, I have hope. My DD married an artist, although he doesn't have the artistic temperament; he is very sweet and nice and even-tempered.

But he loves to draw and paint, he made jewelry for a while, has a degree in theater, loves to dress up, and due to stage training can also do a bit of sewing. So there is a decent chance that those two will have a baby who will grow up and want to sew.

So, I live in hope!
