Date: 12/6/12 6:26 PM I found quite a few free mitten patterns online, but was wondering if anyone had a favorite. We're heading to upstate new york for a week (from southern california) and my 15 month old son needs something for his hands.
Thanks!
(and actually I might too--we put a whole lot of stuff in storage for trying to sell our condo and I may have packed my winter gear... oops.) |

Date: 12/6/12 6:48 PM gosh, I think I'd just trace his hand and sew up some fleece mittens, maybe sew some fine elastic around the wrist. you could add the string between them and run it through his coat so if he takes one off and drops it he won't lose it. ------ Viking Lily 545

Date: 12/7/12 2:41 AM I know you're looking for a free pattern, but I just wanted to mention that the mitten pattern in the Oliver+S book "Little things to Sew" is a really good one. I just finished making a pair for my 13 month old. They go together easily, stay put, and my daughter doesn't seem to be as bothered by them as she was by the store-bought pair she kept pulling off with her teeth! |
