Date: 12/7/12 1:21 PM Oh my gosh, I just bought a Brother PE770 this week so I would have died if it was half off but when I checked Amazon, the price of it actually went up! Thanks so much for the alert! |

The CS6000i (which I think is a great beginners machine) is an excellent price at $145, but it is NOT 68% off. The list price they have is ABSURD- it has been listed for most of the past year at about $160, not over $400! Most websites have it for around the $160 price.
Very misleading sale. (But thanks for the alert- I've been looking at the coverstitch, but it is still a bit too expensive for me.) -- Edited on 12/7/12 1:51 PM -- |

Date: 12/7/12 1:59 PM Yeah, Amazon does this, it's of the MSRP, which NOBODY sells these machines for.
I doubled checked the 1034D (which is the one I want, but can't seem to pull the trigger), and it's still the same price it's been all year, which is "59% off" the $400+ price. I've never seen it higher than $250-ish. Amazon and Walmart have always sold it for under $200.
I'm guessing the other machines are the same. I had a similar email for "National Sewing Month" and the prices weren't any different. |

EXCEPT..
1. When the dealer is big into playing *the trade-in game*
2. When the dealer is playing the *trade up* game
3. When the dealer doesn't have any significant local competition
IMO, of course.

On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.
